Welcome home!

Welcome to those of you who are new, and welcome back to those of you who are seasoned JU students. The spring semester is here, and we are so excited to kick off with another Kick Off!

Are you a new student and feeling unsure about what’s ahead? Don’t worry—your fadders will take great care of you during your first days in Jönköping. Kick Off is designed for you, to help you get to know the city and make new friends, so make the most of it and have fun!

JSU

The Student Union is here for you throughout your time at Jönköping University, and you can turn to us if you need help. We have several full-time employees and renumerated staff who work daily to improve your life as a student here in Jönköping, whether it’s about the work environment, the quality of education, or study social life. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

Rio

In the Student House, where the Student Union is located, you’ll also find Rio, the students’ café. Here, you can enjoy the cheapest coffee on campus, affordable lunches, and fika. All profits from Rio go straight back into the organisation, so when you buy your lunch at Rio, you’re helping us give back as much as possible to you!

Rio also hosts events several evenings a week, where our various sub-associations organize everything from quizzes to themed evenings, game nights, and language cafés.

Membership

At JU, yhere is a mandatory Student Union membership, which means everyone must pay the membership fee. You can do this through the app Hitract. Once you’ve paid, you’ll gain access to our event calendar, the ability to buy tickets, join sub-associations, and much more.
