Get a Buddy

A Buddy is a current student at Jönköping University who can answer questions, show you around Jönköping and introduce you to the Swedish student life.

If you apply to get a Buddy you and your Buddy will receive an email with the contact information to your Buddy. This way you can get in touch with your Buddy and they can answer any specific questions you have. Your Buddy will be there for you to guide you around and to answer your questions, and hopefully share one or two things about the Swedish life.

Please note that there are both Swedish and international Buddies.

The application process to get a Buddy looks like this:

1. Fill in the form by clicking on this link Opens in new window.. You will receive a confirmation email afterwards.
2. You will receive an email as the semester starts, with contact information about your buddy. This way you can get in touch and get answers to any specific questions about Jönköping University and Jönköping that you might have.
3. You will get an invitation to a Buddy Mingle where you will have the chance to meet your Buddy and everyone else in the Buddy Program. After this, you and your Buddy are free to meet as often as you can and want to throughout the whole semester.
4. The Student Union will arrange more activities during the semester for you and your Buddy, so join the Facebook group (the link you will receive in an email, where we will post all the buddy events and activities).
5. Make sure to read the buddy program pamphlet for more ideas of activities that you and your buddy can take part in.
