Language Café

Here you´ll find all the information about the JSU committee Language Café. They arrange meeting every Tuesday in Rio between 16.00-18.00.

New to the city of Jönköping and Jönköping University? Do you want to learn how to properly order fika in Swedish? Are you going on an exchange semester to Spain and you only know ‘Una servesa por favor’? Do you love K-pop but you don’t understand the lyrics in Korean? Do you want to conquer the French language but the only word you know in French is ‘baguette’? Then joining Language Café is the best option for you.

Who are we?

We are a student association organizing language exchange from students to students. We are more than 15 student volunteers in the team, dedicated to organizing and teaching languages to students at the university while exchanging cultures, and learning more about languages through lessons, activities, quizzes and games.

What do we offer?

We have many languages at Language Café and we are always open to having more languages. For this Spring semester we are teaching the following languages: Swedish, Spanish, French, Advanced English, Japanese, Korean and Russian.

When and where?

We meet every Tuesday from 16:00 to 18:00 in café Rio in the Students’ House building. Feel free to drop by and brush up your linguistic skills. We encourage you to stay for the whole event and enjoy the experience of learning new languages, discovering other cultures, making friendships and meeting new people from all around the world along the way.
